Tim Fisher

Tim was previously Chief Risk Officer for the investment banking division, Commerzbank. Tim reported to the bank’s board of managing directors. The investment banking business comprised a multi-asset class offering which included sales, trading and advisory across equities, fixed income, commodities and real estate. In his capacity as Head of Risk Management, Tim sat on the Bank Risk Committee, New Product Committee and the Investment Banking Operating Committee.

Tim also managed the hedge fund business where he chaired the alternatives investment committee which presided over an USD 2 billion multi-strategy funds-of-funds portfolio. This product comprised investments into over 40 different hedge funds globally with strategies ranging from equity long-short to real estate. Tim went on to seed internal hedge funds and created the track record which allowed these funds to move outside of the bank and raise external capital.

Tim managed the proprietary trading business at Commerzbank with risk taking teams in New York, London and Tokyo and was comprised of relative value, event, and convertible and statistical arbitrage strategies. Tim also ran the Precious Metals Sales & Trading business which had trading locations in Luxembourg and Mumbai.

Tim attained a double first in engineering from Imperial College and was awarded the Bessemer, FRSA and Stott-Longcroft medals for excellence in academia and engineering.

Tim is currently Chairman of a Sports and Entertainment company in UK and an Engineering firm in Germany.

Shweta Jha

Shweta is a seasoned Risk Professional with over 10 years of experience at some of the biggest names in the Financial Services Industry including GE Capital, ABN AMRO, Moody’s Analytics, Morgan Stanley, BNY Mellon, RBS, Lloyds amongst others.

Her experience in the Risk Management area is unique in the sense that it has a blend of both quantitative analytics and qualitative aspects with respect to regulatory risk, policies, and risk system implementation among others.

During her career she has liaised with a number of Regulatory bodies including PRA, FCA, Fed, DNB, BaFin on behalf of tier 1 banks while assisting with policy interpretation, implementation and accreditation application. Shweta has extensive hands on experience in various risk verticals including building Risk models by incorporating both portfolio and regulatory aspects at various top tier financial organizations.

She has also led various change management initiatives with respect to both systems and framework enhancement for requirements catering to Stress testing, economic capital, pension risk to name a few.

Shweta has a first class degree from Indian Institute in Technology, Bombay and has lived in India, Germany, Holland, UK.
